Abstract

Abstract: Tourism has grown to be one of the world's largest and fastest expanding sectors. Tourism development has the potential to contribute to economic growth both directly and indirectly, first by stimulating the growth of other sectors and raising domestic income along with efficient demand. Second, it generates new job possibilities and strengthens local communities’ business organizations. Recently, Uzbekistan tourism sector has growing dramatically. The country's administration developed many local and intra-regional tourist development plans, promising an increase in both domestic and international tourism. The widely accepted idea that tourism stimulates economic growth must be scientifically and practically proven. The purpose of this article is to see if the tourism-led growth idea holds water in Uzbekistan. The interview findings corroborate the research conclusions that tourism contributes to economic growth. Overall, the qualitative findings show that features (such as enterprise and labor prospects) as well as a tourism-related component contribute to the country's economic growth.
